The Power of The DREAM!
by Bruce Seah

The power of the DREAM! There is a saying that there are none so poor as those without a dream! It doesn't cost you a cent to dream and dare to dream and dream big!

I highly recommend you listen to Celine Dione's song: The Power of The Dream. It is very inspiring! "Deep within each heart there lies a magic spark that lights the fire of our imagination. Since the dawn of man the strength of just "I can" has brought together people of all nations."

"Feel the flame forever burn teaching lessons we must learn to bring us closer to the power of the dream... it is the power of the dreams that brings us here."

Do you have a dream? Is it a simple dream or a daring dream that challenges you and make your heart beat a bit faster. Is it a dream based on a burning desire to turn it into a reality? Many people claim they have dreams but they do not give life to their dreams, they are not really serious about achieving their dreams.

Here's a good acronym of DREAM:

Desire - you got to have a burning desire to achieve your dream, it must mean very much to you and it must be worth whatever it takes ethically to achieve it!

Responsible - dreams are precious and you must be responsible to give them life or they will die a natural death if you do not focussed on them and you are not passionate about achieving them! Dreams are usually linked to the lives of others and they make a positive difference to millions of lives! That's how powerful a dream can be because we are all interdependent! I am sure you have heard about the concept of "Six People Apart" You know someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who can really help you achieve your dreams! You never what or who your dreams will lead you to!

Ethical - you must do the right things and work with universal laws and most important of all, is to have worthy dreams! Dreams that not only will make a positive difference to your life but will also have a positive impact on others!

Action - you can keep on dreaming but if you do not take action to make your dreams come true, they will stay as dreams! Earl Nightingale said it so well: "Success is a journey towards the realization of worthy goals" What worthy dreams or goals do you have in life? Are you on the journey or are you just day dreaming away?

Mind - you must think positive. You are what you think and James Allen wrote the book: "As A Man Thinketh" and here's a beautiful quotation: "Mind is the Master-power that moulds and makes, And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes. The tool of Thought, and, shaping what he wills, Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills;- He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass: Environment is but his looking glass."

I've written a poem "Dare To Dream" and it was dedicated to Walt Disney.

Dreams do come true. When you believe in them. Doubtful minds seldom achieve. You got to have faith and believe.

Dreams are seed of great things. They do need your care and efforts. A man can be what he wants to be. If he will not stop believing.

Dreams are built and broken everyday. Like sand dunes in a desert fray. They can stand as solid as rocks. If you will stick to your thoughts.

Dreams of Walt Disney came true. For what he dreamt he set out to do. You'll be convinced by a visit to Disneyland. Of the wonders that can come from the mind of a man!

I hope you enjoy this poem and it will inspire you towards achieving your dreams!

Learn how to Dream Lucidly
by Shane Thompson

In this short article on learning how to dream lucidly we will cover what it is to dream lucidly, why would you want to dream this way and how you can get started.

Lucid dreaming is being aware that you are dreaming while dreaming. The Lucid Dream world around you seems as 'real' as the one you're in now. In a lucid dream, you will have power over your dream, for example, being able to fly, overcome a phobia or visualizing yourself achieving the goals you want. It is like being a director of your own movie.

When we were children we often had lucid dreams. We gradually "lose" this natural ability,as we grow older. You need to learn how to tap into that part of your brain "on demand."

Some possible uses for your lucid dreaming can include:

Goal achievement, Fun, Problem Solving, Writing fiction, Composing music, Adventure and excitement, Treatment of nightmares, Public speaking, Revisit previous dreams or experiences.

Some Facts to think about:

We spend one third of our lives sleeping. Everybody dreams. People dream an average of one to two hours every night, and have between four to seven dreams.

To learn how to dream lucidly you must start with improving your dream recall i.e. how many dreams you can remember. Keep a pen and paper at your bedside so that you can record you dreams when you get up in the morning. After a few days you will see great improvement in your dream recall.

Some of the factors which affect the chance for you to experience lucid dreams are: - Meditation, - Hypnotism and - Induction techniques.

Learning how to dream lucidly is not as difficult as you think. You now know that you can dream lucidly because you have already done it before (starting as a child). You now know that it can be used for your benefit. You have control in your lucid dreams. You have also learnt that it is a skill which can be acquired by anyone.

In my next article I will cover Meditation and how you can tap into the ultimate anti- stress and healing brain states within minutes.
